As a result of land law of 1960 (UUPA), land ex western right is converted into several types of land rights regulated under UUPA. Some are converted into right of ownership (hak milik), right to build (hak guna bangunan), and right of use (hak pakai). Other than UUPA, implementing regulation of UUPA also stipulate steps and mechanism of how this conversion works, who are entitled to it, and what special conditions applicable to this conversion.
